VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS - THE FUTURE?

Delphi research

I am conducting a research project designed to describe the future of virtual environments created by global electronic networks. The research is associated with my Master of Marketing thesis which I am undertaking at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

The outcomes of the research will be a description of possible virtual environment futures, an analysis of the emerging issues for businesses and consumers and a critique of existing business and market models in the light of these possible futures. The final report, excluding any personal or corporate identifiers, will be made available to each respondent.

The research methodology that I am using is the Delphi approach, a description of which is included below. Participation in this research will require written responses from you to three phased questionnaires as described in this attachment. Throughout the process questionnaires will be developed to minimise the response time required by you. The phase one questionnaire which describes the research variables, some key assumptions and poses seven questions for your consideration is below.

Also below is a letter from Professor Mark Gabbott, Professor of Electronic Marketing at Monash University confirming my credentials.

Regardless of whether you choose to participate I would appreciate it if you could mail this link other appropriate persons who may be willing to contribute.

If it is your intention to participate can you please endeavour to submit your response to the initial questionnaire by xx of yyyy.

If you have any queries regarding any of the above or the attached please do not hesitate to e-mail rwebster@netspace.net.au. I thank you for your consideration of this request and look forward to reading your responses.
